The Story of a Girl Project is an innovative HIV advocacy campaign from Visual Epidemiology, an independent non-profit media and research company comprised of volunteers in both filmmaking and academic research. The Producer, Andrea Palframan, is an alumni of Royal Roads University whom recently graduated from the MA in Intercultural and International Communication. For more information on the Story of a Girl Project, or to submit a film, visit

The purpose of the Project is to advocate for sustained and reliable access to HIV medication, and seeks to accomplish this goal by leveraging the collective power of a single voice. By emotionally engaging viewers on relatable experiences, the Story of a Girl Project works with HIV organizations across the globe and uses innovative media to revive support for these programs on a level not yet achieved in HIV advocacy.
