Royal Roads Master's student Katherine O’Connor gives beauty & comfort to cancer fighters with henna crowns

Lesley is an inspirational and truly gorgeous individual, who is helping spread awareness about henna crowns and the strength and femininity of women who have lost their hair, due to chemotherapy, like her, or to other conditions such as alopecia. This video is a compilation of video clips and photos from her henna crown application, which I organized as part of a public outreach project for a graduate course in Public Culture at Royal Roads University. More photos, links to interviews with CTV and Times Colonist, details about Lesley's story, resources, and contact forms can be found at www.hennacrown.weebly.com.
