Aboriginal hand-drumming audio & interview, by MAIIC student, Janice Edgar

In January 2008, the Journal of Aboriginal Health published a scientific article about the healing value of Aboriginal hand-drumming. The article inspired MAIIC student, Janice Edgar to ask members of the drum circle she belonged to how drumming supported them. She interviewed six members, four women and two men, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal and coordinated the participation of four members, including herself, for a 30-minute live radio broadcast on Carleton University’s CKCU FM (91.3) Friday Special Blend programme, hosted by Susan Johnston. The members shared some the songs they sing and their experiences with Aboriginal hand-drumming.
